Matt Fitzpatrick Wins RBC Heritage In Playoff

(Hilton Head Island, SC) -- Matt Fitzpatrick is celebrating a victory at the RBC Heritage after taking down defending champion Jordan Spieth in a playoff.

Fitzpatrick and Spieth finished tied atop the leaderboard at 17 under par after the final round of play, but a birdie on the third playoff hole lifted Fitzpatrick to the win. Patrick Cantlay finished third at 16 under, Xander Schauffele was fourth at 15 under, and Sahith Theegala and Hayden Buckley tied for fifth at 14 under par.

This is Fitzpatrick's second PGA TOUR title in his 122nd career start.
