Timberwolves disappointing season comes to an end at the hands of the Nuggets

On Tuesday evening the Minnesota Timberwolves wrapped up the 2022-23 season with a 112-109 playoff loss at Denver. The Nuggets won the best-of-7 Western Conference Quarterfinals series 4-1.

Anthony Edwards paced the Wolves with 29 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Karl-Anthony Towns added 26 points and 11 rebounds while Rudy Gobert chipped in 16 points and 15 rebounds. Both Gobert and Towns fouled out in the late stages of the game.

Jamal Murray powered the Nuggets with 35 points. The Joker, Nikola Jokic dropped a 28 point, 17 rebound, and 12 assist triple-double.

Denver will take on Phoenix in the Conference Semifinals.
