Twins shutout by Guardians in series finale

(Cleveland, OH) -- Cal Quantrill took a no-hitter into the seventh inning as the Guardians beat the Minnesota Twins 2-0 in Cleveland. Quantrill picked up his second win after giving up just one hit over seven scoreless innings, and Emmanuel Clase earned his 12th save. Both of Cleveland's runs came in the bottom of the first when Jose Ramirez and Josh Bell each had an RBI single. The Guardians won the final two games in the weekend series.

Alex Kirilloff had Minnesota's only hit, breaking up the no-no in the seventh. Joe Ryan fell to 5-1 after surrendering a pair of runs in six innings of work. The Twins have dropped four of six.

The Twins have an off day on Monday and will welcome the San Diego Padres to Target Field beginning on Tuesday night.
