Twins drop rubber match to Angels

(Anaheim, CA) -- The Los Angeles Angels broke a 1-1 tie with two runs in the bottom of the seventh to beat the Twins 4-2 at Angel Stadium. Mickey Moniak drilled a two-run double in the inning to put the Angels up for good, and Matt Thaiss brought in an insurance run with a double in the eighth. Chris Devenski earned his second win in relief, and Carlos Estevez picked up his 12th save. Los Angeles has won three of its last four.

Alex Kirilloff homered in the losing effort.  Pablo Lopez was charged with his third loss after surrendering a pair of runs in six innings of work. Minnesota has dropped three of four.

The Twins will return home to Target Field on Monday night to begin a three game series with the San Francisco Giants. First pitche is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. with Bailey Ober on the mound for Minnesota.
