(Portland, OR) -- The Minnesota United scored a last-minute goal to beat the Portland Timbers 1-nil at Providence Park on Saturday.
Bongokuhle Hlongwane found the back of the net in the fifth minute of extra time to give Minnesota the victory. The Loons are in sixth place in the Western Conference with five wins, three draws, and five losses for 18 points.
The United visit Houston in the US Open Cup Tuesday night.
