SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – For the second time this season, senior right-handed pitcher Tristen Roehrich has been named the Summit League Peak Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
Roehrich helped guide the Bison to a 5-2 win over South Dakota State last week. He fired a team-best six strikeouts over 3.0 frames with only one hit and no runs. The West Fargo, N.D., native also limited to Jackrabbits to a .111 batting average.
NDSU finished the regular season with a 22-28 (16-7 Summit) overall record and earned the second seed in the Summit League Championship. The Bison, who are hosting the tournament for the first time in program history, will face third-seeded South Dakota State on Wednesday night. First pitch is set for 6:05 p.m., at Newman Outdoor Field.
