(St. Petersburg, FL) -- Zach Eflin continued his strong 2023 campaign by leading the Tampa Bay Rays to a 7-0 win over the Minnesota Twins at Tropicana Field.
Eflin struck out eight and gave up just three hits over 6 2/3 scoreless innings to earn his eighth win. Luke Raley and Jose Siri both blasted home runs in the victory. Tampa is on a four-game winning streak.
Louie Varland was charged with his second loss after surrendering seven runs in six frames. Minnesota has lost its last three games.
The Twins and Rays will square off again on Tuesday night with first pitch set for 5:40 p.m. Pablo Lopez will be on the mound for Minnesota.
