(Omaha, NE) -- One team has locked up its spot in the College World Series championship.
The No. 2 Florida Gators scored a ninth inning run to take down TCU 3-2 in the semifinals in Omaha Wednesday. The Gators are back in the championship series for the first time since winning the national title in 2017.
No. 5 LSU stayed alive with a 5-2 win over No. 1 Wake Forest in Game One of their semifinal series. Tigers designated hitter Cade Beloso belted a three-run homer in the third to lift LSU to victory.
The teams will go head-to-head in a win-or-go-home matchup Thursday night for a spot in the championship.
