(St. Paul, MN) -- The Minnesota Wild are bringing in a Stanley Cup champion.
The Wild sent a 2024 seventh-round pick to the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for Pat Maroon and Maxim Cajkovic. Maroon led the league in penalty minutes last season while scoring five goals and nine assists in 80 games with Tampa Bay. Cajkovic hasn't played at the NHL level yet.
In other team news, the Wild signed forwards Vinni Lettieri and Jake Lucchini to two-way deals over the weekend.
