Twins rally late to beat Mariners

(Seattle, WA) -- The Twins scored three runs in the final two innings of their 6-3 win over the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park.

Max Kepler scored on a passed ball in the top of the eighth to give Minnesota a 4-3 lead, and Alex Kirilloff smoked a two-run home run in the next inning to give the Twins a pair of insurance runs. Kepler and Edouard Julien also both homered in the victory. Emilio Pagan earned his fourth win in relief, and Jhoan Duran was credited with his 16th save.

The Twins have won five of six since the All-Star break, and they hold a two-and-a-half game lead in the AL Central at 50-47. Pablo Lopez starts for Minnesota against Seattle this afternoon with first pitch scheduled for 2:40 p.m.
