Twins outslug Guardians to extend AL Central lead

(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Twins hit three home runs during a 10-6 win over the Cleveland Guardians at Target Field.

The Guardians scored four runs in the top of the second to take an early lead, but the Twins responded with six runs in the next half-inning, four of which came on Royce Lewis' second grand slam in as many days. Matt Wallner and Jorge Polanco also went deep in the victory. Kody Funderburk earned his first win out of the bullpen in his MLB debut, and Josh Winder picked up his first save.

Minnesota has a seven-game lead over Cleveland in the AL Central at 69-63. Pablo Lopez starts for Minnesota against Cleveland tonight.

In other team news, the Twins optioned starting pitcher Bailey Ober to Triple-A St. Paul yesterday.
