BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead standout linebacker Josiah Behm has been named the NSIC's Defensive Player of the Week following a stellar performance against McKendree on Saturday.

The junior Behm was all over the field for the Dragons, tallying 10 total tackles with five solo takedowns in MSUM's 38-17 win over the Bearcats. Behm made three tackles for loss in the contest which totaled 25 lost yards for McKendree. The Appleton, Wis., native added in an NSIC weekly best two sacks for a total of 23 yards. One of those sacks included a forced fumble by Behm which was eventually recovered by MSUM defensive lineman Hayden Carr.

In the win, Behm also had a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry for the Dragons. Through three games, Behm leads MSUM in total tackles (25), sacks (2.5) and now forced fumbles. Behm is second in the NSIC in total tackles and tied for third in the conference in total sacks after week three.

The Dragons hit the road this week for a battle with Augustana with kickoff from Sioux Falls, S.D., scheduled for 1 p.m. Game coverage will be available on AM 1100 The Flag.
