(St. Paul, MN) -- The Wild surrendered four goals in the first period of their 7-3 loss to the Los Angeles Kings at the Xcel Energy Center.
Minnesota had an early 2-1 lead after Connor Dewar and Kirill Kaprizov each lit the lamp, but the Kings scored the game's next four goals. Joel Eriksson Ek scored his fourth goal of the season in the losing effort.
The Wild dropped to 2-2-0, and they host the Blue Jackets Saturday night.
