Wolves edge Pelicans in closing seconds

(New Orleans, LA) -- The Timberwolves overcame a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat the New Orleans Pelicans 121-120 at Smoothie King Center on Saturday.

Karl-Anthony Towns hit the go-ahead shot with five seconds left in regulation, and Minnesota forced a miss on the final Pelicans possession. Towns had 29 points and nine assists in the victory, while Anthony Edwards chipped in with 23 points. Minnesota is in first-place in the Western Conference at 9-3.

The Wolves host the Knicks tonight.
