NDSU’s Cole Wisniewski has been named the Missouri Valley Football Conference’s Defensive Player of the Week for the 2nd time this season.
He tallied nine tackles and a 75-yard pick-six in NDSU’s 48-27 road victory over Northern Iowa last Saturday. The other time he earned a Player of the Week honor was in Week One, when he totaled a career-high 11 tackles and an interception in a victory over Eastern Washington.
Wisniewski and the Bison will welcome the Drake Bulldogs to the Fargodome for the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
