UND, Sacramento State to meet in FCS First Round

(Grand Forks, ND) -- For the seventh time in program history, the University of North Dakota football team will host Sacramento State in the FCS First Round today at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks.

The Fighting Hawks come into the matchup with a 7-4 record, with five of those wins coming in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. Sacramento State has an identical overall record, with four of their wins coming in the Big Sky Conference.

The Fighting Hawks, ranked No. 12/14, will look to advance out of the first round of the FCS Playoffs in a facility where they had a perfect record in the regular season.

The two teams played last in October 2018, a 41-15 win for UND in Sacramento. The last meeting between the two teams at the Alerus Center came on October 21, 2017, a 34-27 win for Sacramento State.

The game kicks off at 12 noon inside the Alerus Center.
