(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Minnesota Gophers will have a new starting quarterback next season.
2023 starter Athan Kaliakmanis announced yesterday that he is entering the transfer portal. Kaliakmanis struggled mightily in his first full year leading the offense. He completed just 53.1 percent of his passes for 1,838 yards, 14 touchdowns, and nine interceptions while leading Minnesota to its worst record since 2011.
In other team news, safety Tyler Nubin and kicker Dragan Kesich both made the All-Big Ten First Team yesterday.
