The Fargo Force swept the Des Moines Buccaneers over the weekend. On Friday night the Force dominated 9-0. It was the 5th time Fargo scored 9 goals in a regular season game. Leo Gruba and Michael La Starza each scored 2 goals in the win. Hampton Slukynsky saved all 24 shots he faced.

Saturday evening the Force completed the weekend sweep with a 5-2 victory. Fargo had 5 different goal scorers in the win.

Fargo Force Goaltender Anton Castro has been named the USHL’s Goaltender of the Week. Last weekend he played in 1 game shutting out Des Moines with 24 saves. This was Castro’s second shutout of the season and his second weekly honor of the year.

The Force return to action this weekend with a series on the road in Muskegon versus the Lumberjacks before returning to Scheels for three straight games at home on the 18th, 19th and 20th.
