(St. Paul, MN) -- The Wild are getting some much-needed help on defense.
The Wild made a trade for Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Will Butcher yesterday. Minnesota sent prospect Maxim Cajkovic back to Pittsburgh to complete the deal. Butcher has not appeared in an NHL game since 2021-22, when he scored two goals and tallied six assists in 37 games with Buffalo.
