Wild fall to Sabres in OT

(St. Paul, MN) -- The Minnesota Wild extended their point streak to five games but lost to Buffalo 3-2 in overtime at the Xcel Energy Center on Saturday.

Joel Eriksson Ek and Declan Chisholm both scored in the third period to give Minnesota a 2-1 lead, but the Sabres tied it up with under a minute left in regulation when Dylan Cozens lit the lamp. The Sabres scored in the second minute of OT to seal Minnesota's fate. Minnesota remains in sixth place in the Central Division with 56 points and a 25-23-6 record.

The Wild host Vancouver on Monday afternoon at 1 p.m.
