(Daytona Beach, FL) -- Will Byron took home the checkered flag in the Daytona 500 following a bizarre ending.
The driver of the No. 24 car earned his first career win at Dayton Beach after the white flag came out during a late crash. NASCAR officials determined Byron was leading the pack when the caution flag waved heading into the final lap. Alex Bowman, Christopher Bell, Corey Lajoie and Bubba Wallace rounded out the Top-Five finishers.
The field turns its attention to the Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday.
