Second quarter eruption powers Timberwolves past Lakers

(Los Angeles, CA) -- The Minnesota Timberwolves are back in first place in the Western Conference following a 127-117 win over the Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena.

The Wolves trailed by four after the first quarter before erupting for 46 points in the second. Minnesota led throughout the second half. Naz Reid poured in 31 points in the victory, while Anthony Edwards chipped in with 26. Rudy Gobert added 18 points and 16 rebounds.

Minnesota is tied with Denver atop the West at 54-24. The Pack are set to host Washington Tuesday evening.
