Twins sweep White Sox, win tenth straight game

(Chicago, IL) -- The Minnesota Twins have their first ten-game winning streak since 2008.

The Twins beat the Chicago White Sox 10-5 at Guaranteed Rate Field yesterday. The game was tied at four heading into the seventh when Max Kepler and Jose Miranda laced back-to-back RBI singles. Minnesota put the game away with four runs in the top of the ninth. Alex Kirilloff went deep in the victory, while Willi Castro was a homer away from the cycle. However, Byron Buxton left the game with a knee injury.

Bailey Ober earned his third win after allowing four runs on six hits in six innings. Minnesota is in fourth place in the AL Central at 17-13.

Minnesota hosts Boston for a weekend series beginning on Friday night.
