The United States Hockey League announced that Brett Skinner has been named Coach of the Year for the 2023-24 season. The first year head coach of the Force, Skinner led the Force to a Franchise and League Record 50-10-2-0 record in repeating as Anderson Cup champions, given to the team with the best USHL regular season record. The Force lead the league with 272 goals scored and allowing a league-low 143 goals. The Force were second in the League with a 31.5% power play percentage and were the top team in penalty kill percentage with a 86.2% mark. The Force had two separate 10-game winning streaks en route to their record 50 win season. Skinner and the Force take aim at the Clark Cup as they take on DuBuque Fighting Saints in game 1 of the championship series tonight at 7:05 PM at Scheels Arena.
