The Minnesota Timberwolves dropped a tight matchup to the Detroit Pistons 113-108 on Thursday night.
Julius Randle paced the Wolves with 27 points, six rebounds, and six assists. Ayo Dosunmu added 19 points, five rebounds, and four assists while Naz Reid chipped in 19 points off the bench. Mike Conley tallied 14 points followed by 10 points from Terrance Shannon Jr. Anthony Edwards missed the game due to a knee injury and illness. Edwards will now miss the minimum games played requirement to qualify for any of the NBA’s individual regular season awards.
Minnesota fell to a record of 46-30 on the season. The Pack currently sit in sixth place in the Western Conference, one game behind fifth place Denver with six games remaining in the regular season.
The Wolves will now visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday at 6 p.m. on FanDuel Sports Network North.
