Minnesota State University Moorhead men’s basketball Senior forward Sam Hastreiter has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) North Division Player of the Week for the week of December 29 thru January 4.
Hastreiter led the Dragons with a career-high 28 points in a 92-81 victory over Minnesota Crookston on Saturday. He added eight rebounds, one block, and one steal in the victory. In 14 games so far this season, he is averaging 11.9 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.
The Dragons will return to the court on Friday night when they visit Concordia-St. Paul with the tip-off scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Additionally, the Dragons will visit Winona State on Saturday with full game coverage available on The Flag (AM 1100/FM 92.3) beginning with the pregame at 3 p.m.
