The Summit League office has announced North Dakota State Junior right-handed pitcher, Parker Puetz, the conference’s Peak Pitcher of the Week.
He logged five scoreless innings against Florida Gulf Coast in his season debut. The Volga, S.D. native, racked up a career-high eight strikeouts in the outing, while holding the Eagles to a .067 batting average.
This is the first time in his collegiate career that Puetz has earned this weekly league honor. The Bison will visit South Florida on Wednesday evening with the first pitch scheduled for 5 p.m.
