University of North Dakota graduate student goaltender T.J. Semptimphelter has been named the National Collegiate Hockey Conference’s Goaltender of the Week the league office announced. This is the second consecutive week he has earned the honor.
He saved 57 of the 60 shots he faced in a weekend sweep over Minnesota Duluth. Over his last five outings, Semptimphelter is 4-1-0 with a .947 save percentage while climbing into the top five in NCHC save percentage (.913, 5th) and goals against average (2.51, 4th).
North Dakota will hit the road for the final time in the regular season this weekend with a trip to league-leading Western Michigan beginning on Friday at 6 p.m.
