Per NFL Network, the Minnesota Vikings and veteran linebacker, Eric Wilson, agreed to a three-year contract worth $22.5 million with $12.5 million guaranteed.
Wilson and the team agreed to terms only hours before the NFL’s legal free agent tampering period began on Monday, March 9 at 11 a.m. CT. The contract cannot be inked until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11 on the official start of the leagues new year.
The 31-year-old has spent five of his nine NFL seasons in Minnesota, including beginning his career with the Vikings from 2017-20, before returning to the purple and gold in 2025. He split time with the Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans in 2021 before playing with the Green Bay Packers from 2022-24.
In 2025 with Minnesota he set career-highs in sacks (6.5) and forced fumbles (4) while playing in all 17 games with 16 starts. He also hit the 100-tackle milestone in 2025 for the second time in his career with 115 tackles (60 solo, 55 assisted).
Over his nine seasons, Wilson has totaled 514 tackles (277 solo, 237 assisted) while also racking up 17.5 sacks.
