Per ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Minnesota Twins have agreed to a deal with veteran first base slugger, Josh Bell. The deal is for one year and worth $7 million dollars with a mutual option for the 2027 season.
The Twins will be the 33-year-old switch-hitters seventh MLB team. Bell played in 140 games for the Washington Nationals in 2025 while hitting .236 with 22 home runs and picking up 63 RBI’s.
Entering the 2026 season, Bell has played in 1,287 career games with 193 home runs and 676 RBI’s while totaling a .256 batting average. He debuted in 2016 with Pittsburgh and has also played for Washington, San Diego, Cleveland, Miami, and Arizona.
Bell and the Twins will report for Spring Training in mid-February.
