(Brooklyn, NY) — The Minnesota Timberwolves picked up a pair of players during the first round of the NBA Draft in Brooklyn.
Minnesota began the night by trading for the No. 8 pick in a deal that sent a 2031 unprotected first round pick and a 2030 top-one protected pick swap to San Antonio. The Timberwolves used the eighth pick to take Kentucky guard Rob Dillingham before using the 27th pick to select Illinois guard Terrence Shannon Jr.

"They just need one more piece. I feel like they were honestly good this year and they could've won it this year. Adding me is just a plus to the team."
