Wolves take down Lakers; advance to Western Conference Semifinals

The Minnesota Timberwolves took down the Los Angeles Lakers 103-96 on Wednesday night. Minnesota dominated the glass out rebounding LA 54-37 while also picking up 18 offensive rebounds.

Rudy Gobert powered the Pack with 27 points and 24 rebounds. Julius Randle added 23 points while Anthony Edwards chipped in 15 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists.

Both teams struggled from three-point range as Minnesota only connected on seven of 43 shots from deep while LA was 11 for 37. Edwards struggled in particular for the Wolves going 0-11 from deep. The Pack went to the free throw line for 33 shots, knocking down 24 of them. The Lakers went 19-25 from the charity stripe.

Minnesota won the best-of-seven series 4-1. The Wolves will now battle the winner of the Houston Rockets/Golden State Warriors series in the Western Conference Semifinals.
