Authorities conduct water rescue in the Red River

(FARGO) – Authorities were dispatched Wednesday afternoon for a water rescue.

At approximately 2:55 p.m., The Fargo Police Department was dispatched to the 1000 block of 32nd Avenue South to assist with a water rescue in the Red River.

A police spokeswoman told WDAY Radio that first responders were able to facilitate a successful rescue. The individual was suffering a mental health crisis and was transported to a local health care facility for evaluation following the rescue.
