WASHINGTON, D.C. — Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun is scheduled to testify before a Senate committee today where he’s expected to apologize for the company’s recent safety failures.
The hearing comes after a door plug blew off of a flight in January and whistleblowers who have raised the alarm over the aircraft maker’s safety issues. In prepared remarks,
A Senate Subcommittee has also alleged new whistleblower, identified as Sam Mohawk, has come forward. This includes claims of Boeing sometimes being unable to verify which of their parts were held to regulatory standards, with Mohawk continuing to allege some of the parts were installed on planes.
