(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakotans are paying more for car insurance these days.
Between 2022 and 2023, the average auto insurance rate in North Dakota went up 18-percent, according to online insurance marketplace “The Zebra”.
Insurance carriers say an increase in severe weather events and fatal accidents are both contributing factors.
A rise in uninsured and distracted drivers are also playing a role in the increased rates, along with rising repair costs.
