WDAY RADIO — Prosecutors have charged a North Dakota National Guard member with rape.
Daniel Carpenter is accused of sexually assaulting two women who served under him in the 816 Military Police Unit. A witness told police that he came into her hotel room and sexually assaulted her roommate during National Guard training in Bismarck last year. Investigators say another victim told them Carpenter entered her hotel room and touched her inappropriately.
Carpenter is scheduled to go to trial in December.
