(Bismarck, ND) — The North Dakota Game and Fish Department says there is a slight increase in the number of white tail deer compared to last year.
The state counted about 276 thousand while tail this year which is about a one-percent increase over last season. Three years ago there were areas of the state that lost 80-percent of its white tail population to a disease called EHD.
Deer archery season opens August 30th.
