Highway Patrol identifies man killed near Grandin Monday morning

(GRANDIN, ND) – Authorities have identified the man killed in an early Monday morning crash near Grandin. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says 40-year-old Bernardo Martinez, Jr., was northbound on County Road 81 in Traill County when he drove his 2004 Chevy Impala over the center line and struck a 2021 Chevy 2500 Silverado, driven by 49-year-old Adrian Paul, of Kindred, head-on. Martinez, Jr., was pronounced dead on scene, and Paul suffered minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
