Liquor Control Board hears overserving report, multiple calls to a bar

(FARGO) – The Fargo Police Department said it has been dispatched to the Cairo Restaurant and Bar three times in the last month.

The information was shared with Fargo’s Liquor Control Board earlier this week.

“Most of those were related to making sure they’re adhering to the ordinances as far as when they can serve,” Neighborhood Services Captain Matthew Christensen told the board. He said the establishment has a license to serve food past the 2 a.m. bar closing time, at which time all alcohol sales are required to end.

In other news, Christensen told the board that an overserving issue was reported at Duffy’s. He said an employee called police to notify them of someone passed out outside of the building.

Christensen said the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
