OTTER TAIL COUNTY, MN — The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says they are receiving more accidental phone calls.
In the last two weeks, the Dispatch Center says they got 155 accidental 9-1-1 calls. The Sheriff’s Office says if you do accidentally call 9-1-1, stay on the line and verify no response is needed because they will treat it as an emergency otherwise.
Authorities also say to answer callbacks and assure dispatch you do not need assistance.
