Minneapolis loses bid to host Sundance Film Festival

(Minneapolis, MN) — Minneapolis is out of the running to host the Sundance Film Festival in 2027.

The city had touted its arts and entertainment scene, diverse cultural heritage, and passionate film community as reasons to hold the famous festival.

However, Minneapolis wasn’t among the six finalists released Friday.

The finalists are Atlanta, Georgia, Boulder, Colorado, Cincinnati, Ohio, Louisville, Kentucky, Park City, Utah and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
