(MOORHEAD) – When voters head to the polls in November in the City of Moorhead, they’ll also vote on a capital projects levy.
The Moorhead Area Public Schools Board approved the levy at their August 12 meeting.
“The capital projects levy is a board-approved levy similar to an operating levy,” Superintendent Dr. Brandon Lunak said. “The capital projects levy is specific to certain items that the school board feels is important that can be put on the ballot.”
He said those items ‘have to be related to’ capital expenditures, such as purchasing school buses and curriculum.
The proposed levy will generate approximately $4.3 million over ten years.
