WASHINGTON, D.C. — Two astronauts who flew to the ISS on the Starliner spacecraft could be stuck up there until February.
Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams blasted off on the Boeing spacecraft back in June and were expected to return eight days later. Since then, issues with helium leaks and thruster failures have forced the two astronauts to remain aboard the ISS.
On Wednesday, NASA said if tests show a return flight on Starliner to be too risky, the astronauts could be forced to wait and come back on a SpaceX flight scheduled for February.
