PETA to protest outside Minnesota State Fair with sounds of “panicked” animals

WDAY RADIO — People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is hoping a protest outside the Minnesota State Fair will encourage more people to give up meat.

The group plans to park a truck near the entrance when the fair kicks off tomorrow. The vehicle will show images of pigs packed tightly into a transport truck while a loudspeaker broadcasts what PETA calls the screams of panicked animals.

The demonstration is scheduled to begin at noon Thursday.
