Power Company asking for rate increase with ND customers

WDAY RADIO — Otter Tail Power Company is asking for a rate increase from its North Dakota customers.

The utility presented a proposal last night at a public meeting called by the North Dakota Public Service Commission. If approved by the commission businesses would probably see a $45 a month increase, farmers could be charged $38 more a month and residential customers may be asked to pay $15 more per month.

Additional public meetings will be held to get input before a decision by the Public Service Commission is made.
