MOORHEAD, MN — A shooting investigation is underway in Moorhead.
Moorhead Police Sergeant Nicholas Leinen says officers were called to the 700 block of 15th Street North for reports of multiple gunshots heard shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday. Responding officers located the scene with multiple witnesses and spent cartridge casings.
Moorhead Police then responded to a local hospital where a man was found to have a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The suspect and victim are believed to be known to each other, and there’s no known threat to the public.
The firearm has not been recovered, and investigators are continuing to investigate.
Moorhead Police was assisted by the State Patrol and Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
