Standoff ends in Grand Forks after 7 Hours

(Grand Forks, ND) — A standoff has ended with the arrest of a suspect in Grand Forks.

Grand Forks Police, SWAT and the FBI were involved in an hours-long standoff that started around 4:30 yesterday afternoon.

Officers were attempting to serve two federal and five county warrants on a Collin Posey who refused to leave an apartment in the 19-hundred block of 12th Avenue North.

Authorities used a drone and bomb robot to assess the situation and gradually used “escalating tactics” to enter the apartment and take Posey into custody.
