(Cromwell, CT) — Tom Kim is sitting atop the leaderboard after the first round of the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands. Kim shot an eight under 62 in the opening round of the tournament and has a two-shot lead over the field.
Akshay Bhatia, Rickie Fowler, Kurt Kitayama and Will Zalatoris are all tied for second place at six under par. Several other players are tied for sixth at five under. Defending champion Keegan Bradley is tied for 33rd at one under par. Will Zalatoris and Ben Griffin will be the first pair teeing off round two. Players will begin teeing off on Friday morning at 6:05 a.m.
Fargo native Tom Hoge is tied for 33rd at one under par. Hoge will tee off his second round Friday morning at 10:15 a.m.
