(Belcourt, ND) -- The Turtle Mountain community is honoring and remembering lost tribe members unearthed in American and Canadian boarding schools.
The Tribal Council hosted a memorial tipi lighting ceremony last night at the tribal headquarters building. The ceremony included prayers, a drum group, speakers, and refreshments.
The event was open to the whole community.
