Goodbye warm weather, hello colder weather and more snow!!

I’ve had quite a few emails regarding “where’s our snow?”  It HAS been a mild start to the month of January for sure, however, the 2nd half of the month promises colder weather with numerous “clipper” systems bringing us chances for snow.

We will start this week well above normal but end the week on a cold/snowy note.   Here is a look at 4 of our computer models predictions over the next 10 days for snowfall:

FINALLY some good news for our snow lovers.   A general 4-8″ of snow over the next 10 days.  Granted, it’s not a whole lot but these clipper systems tend to bring with it quite a bit of wind so blowing snow and reduced visibilities will be an issue when each of these systems pass on through.   This week, it looks like a couple of clipper systems.  One of them coming in Thursday/Friday and then another one on Sunday.  Travel on Friday could get a bit slippery with blowing snow and reduced visibility with a few inches of snow expected.
